How to request deletion of your data

Ironrod Steel Co. operates a Facebook Page, an Instagram Business account, and a Meta advertising account, and uses an internal application called Bank Tool Automation to manage them. If you have ever contacted us through Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct Message, a Meta Lead Ad form, or by commenting on our content, we may have records of that interaction. You have the right to request deletion of any personal data we hold about you.

Step 1 — Send us a deletion request

Email us at rod@ironrodsteel.com with the subject line:

Data Deletion Request

In the body of the email, please include:

• The Facebook name, Instagram username, phone number, or email address you used when contacting us, so we can locate your records.
• A brief description of the data you would like deleted (for example, “all messages and contact records” or “lead form submission from [date]”).

Step 2 — We will confirm receipt

You will receive a confirmation reply from rod@ironrodsteel.com within 3 business days acknowledging your request.

Step 3 — We will delete your data

We will permanently delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days of receiving your request. This includes:

• Messages and conversation history from Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct Messages stored in our internal tools.
• Lead form submissions from our Meta Lead Ads.
• Customer contact records used for steel quotes and orders, where applicable and not required to be retained for tax or legal compliance.

Data we cannot delete

We may be required to retain certain information for tax, accounting, or legal compliance reasons (for example, completed sales records under U.S. tax law). If we cannot delete a specific record, we will tell you which record and why in our confirmation reply.

Data held by Meta directly

This deletion process covers data we hold in our own systems. To delete data that Meta itself holds about you on Facebook or Instagram (such as your account, messages on Meta’s servers, or ad activity history), please use Meta’s own data deletion tools, available at facebook.com/help/contact/1638505510655169.
